Mary Magdalene, ‘Apostle to the Apostles’ and first to meet the Risen Christ, is considered an embodiment of the Divine Feminine. Venerated in the south of France, she preached in Marseilles before retiring to a cave in the La Sainte Baume mountains. Tradition has it that she was lifted up seven times each day by angels to meet with Jesus. The oak leaf pendant in this collection comes from the first oak tree on the trail up through a wonderful oak forest to the cave.
